Christmas Detour - New Album Release

We are an all female acapella group based in Central Victoria who normally specialise in the late sizteenth century to the early seventeenth century. For this timelesly beautiful season, we have expanded our repertoire by six centuries. Here we bring you sixteen carols and Christmas songs from the fourteenth century to more recent times. Some are old favourites; some are modern compositions. We hope you enjoy our selection.

Well, it would seem that the Madrigal'gals' are not bloggers... This photo of me was taken in UK in 2009... away from the group for 10 weeks, amongst other things, riding from Lands End to John O' Groats. The group rehearsed in my absence, and when I returned we decided to have a break. Jo decided to leave the group. Sadly, our beloved conductor Judah, became ill, and subsequently died. Emily moved away from the area. Anna pursued other music and thespian pursuits. Judy continued playing the cello. Frances continued with editing work, and multifararous life pursuits. And here I am, having made my way here via the 'Laughter Online University' site which I have recently subscribed to as part of my passion for Laughter Yoga.
So, yes, the group has disbanded. We've divvied up the CDs, and only see eachother occasionally. The CDs are still excellent... the genre makes them 'dateless' to a degree, and we'd love them to disseminate further afield. Buy one, of both, or as many as you'd like!
Where to from here? ... two great places to start... Email: ; Google: 'Maldon Australia' and 'Laughter Online University'; oh yes, and look for me on facebook.... :) Happy Day
